Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your use of SurveyChecker.co.uk ("the service"). By creating an account or uploading a report you agree to them. Please read them — they contain important limits on what the service does and does not do.

1. What the service is

SurveyChecker provides AI-assisted analysis of the content, clarity and completeness of survey reports you upload. Output includes a quality score, findings, suggested questions and guidance. The analysis is benchmarked against recognised UK residential survey reporting expectations for the level of survey commissioned.

2. What the service is not

• It is not a property inspection. We never visit the property and cannot confirm whether defects are present or absent.
• It is not professional advice. It does not replace a surveyor, engineer, solicitor or any other professional, and should be used as guidance alongside appropriate professional advice — particularly before exchange of contracts.
• It is not legal advice, and our outputs and support packages never assert that any surveyor has been negligent.
• We are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by RICS.

3. Your responsibilities

• You must be entitled to upload the report you submit and to have it processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must not attempt to misuse the service, including probing its security, scraping, or uploading malicious files.

4. Accuracy of outputs

Analyses are generated from the text extracted from your report and may contain errors or omissions. Scores and findings are informed assessments of report quality, not guarantees, valuations, or statements about the property's condition. Where extraction quality is poor (for example low-quality scans), results may be limited.

5. Free scans, purchases and memberships

• The free assessment shows a limited snapshot of the analysis. Full analyses are revealed by a one-off unlock purchase or an active membership.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Access depends on successful payment confirmation.
• Memberships renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Complaint support packages are one-off purchases prepared from an unlocked report's findings, and are delivered by email within the stated timeframe after purchase.

6. Refunds

Because analyses and support documents are delivered digitally and generated on demand, purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered. If something has gone wrong — a failed analysis, a duplicate charge, a document that doesn't match your report — contact us and we'll put it right.

7. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in your uploaded report. You grant us a limited licence to process it in order to provide the service. The service, its design, and its generated analysis formats remain our property.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, the service is provided "as is"; our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose; and we are not liable for decisions you make about a property purchase, which remain yours and should be based on professional advice.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms, and will show the updated date above. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
