SurveyChecker
For surveyors & firms

Benchmark your reports before your clients do

Grammarly doesn't make you a worse writer — it makes your writing better before anyone else reads it. SurveyChecker does the same for survey reports: an independent benchmark against the SurveyChecker Standard™, applied before a report reaches the client.

Consistency across the team

Every report measured against the same published methodology — so a firm's quality doesn't depend on who wrote the report or who reviewed it that week.

Fewer complaints, better files

Reports that explain materials, follow the evidence trail and match ratings to findings generate fewer client queries — and a pre-issue QA record strengthens the file if one ever arrives.

Development, not surveillance

The five-test outcomes show each surveyor where their reports are strongest and where they hedge — a training signal drawn from their own work, not a generic course.

Why firms use it

Quality assurance that works for you, not against you

  • The same methodology for every report — transparent, published, and anchored to the RICS Home Survey Standard
  • Reports that meet the standard are confirmed in writing — most do
  • Findings cite section and page, so review takes minutes rather than a re-read
  • A documented pre-issue QA step your PI insurer will recognise
  • Aligned with the RICS professional standard on responsible AI use — the methodology is professional and public, with AI as one component

The signal on every section, every report

Materials identified Materials explained Defects explained Evidence trail Recommendations

Recorded outcomes, section by section — so a team sees exactly where its reports are strongest and where they hedge.

Our position

SurveyChecker exists to raise report quality across the profession, not to catch anyone out. We don't sell surveys, we take no referral fees, and the same Standard is applied whether a report is uploaded by its author or its reader. Most reports pass — and we say so in writing.

See it on one of your own reports

The fastest way to judge the Standard is to run a report through it. Book a demo, or upload a report and see the review it produces.
